A la presidenta le gusta Ginza pero no sabemos que tan apropiadas sean las letras de las canciones. :) A Sra. Diaz le encanta Enrique. A Nicolas y Santiago les gusta Shakira. A Shanna le gusta Romeo Santos. ¿Y a ti? ¿Qué música latina o hispana te gusta? Albricias is the Student Journal of the Sociedad Hispanica Honoraria. They are currently accepting submissions for their Spring publication. The topic is COSTA RICA and all submissions are due by October 1, 2015. La sociedad les desea a todos sus miembros un verano seguro pero divertido. Descansen y hablen español No se olviden de practicar y revisar en preparación para el próximo año.
My count is 5 state medals and 11 national medals (not all are SHH members). We have 6 golds. 4 silver, and 6 bronze. I don't have the count for Droms. I registered only my students and SHH. She will give me her count soon for a total on medals. We also have lots of honor awards (above average). I am so proud of everyone. Y'all are the bomb and if you weren't happy with your score this year, set a goal for next year.
Medals earned by SHH members: Santiago Escobar - GOLD state and GOLD national Amy Jenkins - SILVER state and GOLD national Sofia Garcia - BRONZE state and GOLD national Timothy Hood - BRONZE national Cheyenne Stewart - SILVER national Felipe Garcia - SILVER state and GOLD national The following SHH members earned HONOR recognition for being above the average for their level: Maria Ahmad Nicole Brown Katherine Ellis Elaina Gruver Natalie Kumeh Karan Thakkar Brittney Krajcovic Nicolas Plaza Overall, for my students and SHH members, 58% earned an award for above average scores. For SHH members only, the percentage is only 43%. I would like to see us raise that percentage. SHH members should be getting at least honorable mention. What are some of the reasons we didn't do well or as well as we hoped? How can we improve next year? And for goodness sake, lets get some of these other obviously talented linguists in SHH!!!
